Choosing a home for someone you love is one of the most important decisions a family can make. You want them to be safe. You want them to be cared for. But more than anything, you want them to be happy, respected, valued, and loved.
That is why we created A Safe Haven.
A Safe Haven is a small, intimate residential care home designed for just three residents. By intentionally keeping our home small, we can provide the personal attention, companionship, and individualized care that every resident deserves.
Here, our residents aren't simply people receiving care. They are part of our home and part of our family.
We believe growing older shouldn't mean giving up the things that make life special. There should still be music playing in the house, laughter around the table, stories shared on the porch, favorite meals, friendships, celebrations, and plenty of reasons to smile.
Our days are about more than care. They're about living.
We want each resident to feel useful, included, and appreciated—to wake up knowing that they matter and that someone is looking forward to seeing them each morning.
Personalized Care with Heart
A Safe Haven provides assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), tailored to each resident's individual needs. Our goal is to provide the support necessary to help our residents remain comfortable, safe, and as independent as possible.
Care may include:
• Meal preparation and assistance with eating
• Medication assistance and administration
• Housekeeping and laundry
• Assistance with mobility and transferring
• Personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Companionship and meaningful daily activities
But care isn't just about completing a checklist.
It's knowing how someone likes their eggs in the morning.
It's remembering the song that always makes them smile.
It's sitting beside them when they need someone to talk to.
It's celebrating birthdays, holidays, milestones, and ordinary Tuesday afternoons.
It's knowing when they need a helping hand—and when they simply need a little encouragement to do something for themselves.
A Home Where You Are Known
With only three residents, we have the opportunity to truly know the people who live here—their stories, their personalities, their favorite things, their routines, and the people they love.
We want families to have peace of mind knowing their loved one is surrounded by people who genuinely care about them and are committed to making each day meaningful.
Because at A Safe Haven, we don't want our residents to feel like they have moved into a facility.
